Onboarding Software Transformation
Onboarding plays a critical role in an organizations’ retention and employee satisfaction rates and overall success. With Onboarding software, compliance risks are reduced, Day One productivity improves, and new hires can interact with their team before they start.
The Challenge
Lacking integration with recruiting product
Outdated and inconsistent UI
Limited features and functionality
No mobile accessibility so onboarding had to wait until first day
Complicated and inefficient paper process for onboarding documents
New Hires could not interact with their team sooner
My Role
This was a unique project.
This SaaS company was implementing an agile methodolgy for this project with the help of a consulting agency. I was hand-picked to be 1 of 3 embedded Designers, and was soon promoted to Lead Designer to spearhead the transformation of the Onboarding product. Other hats worn:

The Outcome
This was one of my favorite work experiences. Resources were generously provided to research, design and validate the best user experience. Teamwork and Collaboration was encouraged and as such, we worked harder becuase we were invested in the product’s success.
The resulting onboarding solution is data-informed, innovative, and feature-rich. It is a leader in the Onboarding Software space. After launching, revenue increased and the company received many accolades from current customers as well as awards from HCM software experts.
